Cost of Buying a Used Car in Dubai: The Full Fee Breakdown
Buying a used car in Dubai costs more than the sticker price. On top of the car, a private buyer typically pays for RTA ownership transfer, a vehicle inspection, registration, and mandatory insurance, plus the time spent at the RTA. At Carology, all of these are included in one price and handled for you, free.
The costs beyond the car price
When you buy privately in Dubai, the advertised price is rarely the final price. You also take on:
- RTA ownership transfer fees
- A vehicle inspection / testing certificate
- Vehicle registration and plates
- Mandatory car insurance (at least third-party) before registration
- Your own time, often a half-day at the RTA
Why insurance comes first
In the UAE you cannot register a car without valid insurance in place. That means insurance is not optional and it has to be sorted before the registration step, a detail that catches many first-time buyers off guard.
The Carology way: one price, everything in
Carology removes all of this. Every car we sell includes insurance, RTA registration, RTA inspection, and full ownership transfer, handled by us at no extra cost. The price you see is the price you pay.
