Do You Need Insurance to Register a Car in Dubai?
Yes. In Dubai and across the UAE, valid car insurance is mandatory before you can register a vehicle. You must have at least third-party cover in place first. When you buy from Carology, insurance is arranged as part of the price, so registration is never held up.
Insurance is a registration requirement
The RTA will not register or transfer a vehicle without active insurance. At minimum you need third-party liability cover, though many buyers choose comprehensive cover for a used car.
What this means when buying used
If you buy privately, you'll need to secure insurance before you can complete registration, which adds another task and another cost to the process.
Carology handles it for you
Every Carology car includes insurance in the price, with the option to upgrade your cover. We make sure cover is in place so registration and transfer go through smoothly, usually within 1-2 hours.
