Out of warranty, a new high-voltage battery is one of the most expensive repairs on any car, often a large share of an older EV's value, and buyers still ask about the car's history afterwards. Selling as it is usually leaves you better off and saves weeks without a car.
If the car is still inside its battery warranty (8 years on Teslas, with a kilometre limit that depends on the model), check with the manufacturer first. If the claim is refused, or the wait is long, our offer is there to compare.
